Choices, examined out loud

New episodes every Tuesday

The premise

Every life is the sum of its decisions. Each episode takes one real choice apart — the pressure around it, the alternatives, and what it cost — until the reasoning is visible rather than assumed.

Who it’s for

For anyone standing at a fork and wanting better questions before they answer. No formulas, no five-step frameworks.

Format and cadence

Long-form conversation, two hosts, one guest. Roughly an hour, unhurried, published weekly.

Bianca Criaco

Wellness educator, Pilates instructor and advocate

Bianca Criaco is a wellness educator, Pilates instructor and advocate whose work is shaped by both professional knowledge and lived experience. Having navigated profound personal challenges, including domestic violence, substance dependence and cancer, she is passionate about helping others recognise their capacity to create meaningful change.

Her advocacy focuses on raising awareness of domestic violence, substance dependence and suicide prevention. Through education, movement and authentic storytelling, Bianca aims to encourage others to broaden their perspectives, strengthen their wellbeing and recognise that they have greater agency than they may realise.

Outside her professional work, Bianca embraces adventure and believes joy is an essential part of a meaningful life. Whether she’s riding her motorcycle, electric skateboarding, surfing or laughing with the people she loves, she believes that while life presents profound challenges, we don’t always have to take ourselves too seriously. Her hope is to inspire others not only to overcome adversity, but to build a life lived authentically, with connection, purpose and joy.

Mariah

Property specialist and psychology student

Mariah is of Samoan and English heritage, originally from Tamborine Mountain and now based on the Gold Coast, Australia. She has spent the past eight years working in the property industry, helping first home buyers achieve the dream of home ownership, while studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science with the goal of supporting people affected by religious trauma and the lasting impact of high-control groups.

Raised in a high-control religion, Mariah spent her late teens and early twenties preaching full-time while trying to reconcile her beliefs, identity and sexuality before making the life-changing choice to leave at 30. Leaving behind the beliefs, community and most of the relationships she had always known sparked a deep curiosity about belief and human behaviour, inspiring her to pursue psychology. It also opened the door to a life of greater authenticity, possibility and joy.

Living overseas and her passion for travel played a significant role in shaping Mariah’s perspective. Experiencing different cultures and ways of thinking encouraged her to question long-held beliefs, embrace uncertainty and remain open to new ideas.

Through The Choice, Mariah hopes to create a space where people are inspired by the stories they hear, recognise their power to create change in their own lives, and discover that there can be greater joy and fulfilment on the other side of life’s hardest choices.
